IVSS

The IVSS project Intersection accidents: analysis and prevention aims at a systematic study of the chain of events leading to different levels of incident. Data will be collected at intersections using camera-based computer tracking of vehicles and test subjects driving an instrumented vehicle in interactive situations. The data collected will be used to test research hypotheses with respect to driver behaviour and traffic environment factors, as well as a basis for proposing ways to improve road safety at intersections. Autoliv coordinates and LiU participates in this project.
